Are you concerned about the climate crisis but not sure how to help? Come to the next Sierra Club general meeting and learn about our Cool Cities campaign. "Cool Cities" addresses global warming on a local level. Our goal is to help Albuquerque save energy and keep greenhouse gases out of the atmosphere. We take action at various levels - from working with city government, to encouraging our fellow citizens to use compact fluorescent light bulbs. Every bit counts, and everyone can help. Jason Marks of the NM Public Regulation Commission will speak briefly at 7:00 and take questions about what steps the PRC is taking to address climate change and promote clean energy in New Mexico. The rest of the program will be devoted to Cool Cities.
