The Buddhist Network of Greater Baltimore is pleased to announce its upcoming annual event which celebrates the Buddha's birth, Enlightenment, and Parinirvana (passing from this life). The event is called "Buddha Day", and it will be a celebration sponsored by sanghas (communities) of Buddhists in the Baltimore area. We will be coming together to share, celebrate, and bring the peace and harmony of Buddha's teaching and practice into awareness. The formal program will consist of traditional offerings from each of the participating communities. There will be a chance to talk, to learn about each community, its traditions, and its schedules, and to socialize. Everyone is welcome.
