Krakatau is a seven piece ensemble founded in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The distinctive sound of Krakatau music originates from an ancient Gamelan tonal system called !S'lendro', which is found in the traditional music of Sunda, Java and Bali. Krakatau fuses Western musical elements and instruments with various ethnic rhythms of Indonesian musical traditions and instruments. From Louisville, Kentucky, The Glasspack play psychedelic/punk/rock music and features Dave Johnson (vox, guitars), Dave Mancini (bass), Brett Holsclaw (drums) and Brian Floor (keys).
