Award-winning BosmaDance presents a unique and emotional evening of contemporary dance-theater for its third season at Dance Place. Winner of six Metro DC Dance Awards, and recognized as one of Washingtonian's “Most Powerful Women”, artistic director Meisha Bosma creates performance pieces that are "compellingly unforgettable," (Washington Post). Drawing from real-life experiences, fantasy and theatrical story telling, BosmaDance is one of the most daring and expressive dance companies in the area. "If these dancers could have finessed Bosma's machinations in stilettos, it would have been perfect, for stiletto sharp is their attack," (Washington Post).

ZooLights Wednesdays–Sundays, November 28–December 30 6 to 8:30 p.m. This holiday season, FONZ will hold its biggest and brightest event ever—ZooLights, powered by Pepco. Beginning November 28, the Zoo will shine with thousands of environmentally friendly lights and animated exhibits for 25 nights. These larger-than-life displays will feature many of the Zoo’s most popular animals, all constructed of LED lights that use about 90 percent less energy than traditional incandescent light bulbs. ZooLights will also offer visitors the chance to make fun, winter-themed crafts and bird feeders, roast marshmallows, sample other tasty treats like hot chocolate, cookies, and cider, meet keepers in some of our exhibits, and learn about the Zoo's enrichment efforts. But that’s not all. Ice sculpting demonstrations, choral groups, and storytellers will also abound at ZooLights. You can also sponsor a light display or special area of the Zoo. Tickets are on sale now!
