While Memphis was an unlikely place for an alternative metal/post-grunge band, Saliva was able to follow in the tradition of crafting hard rock songs in a radio-friendly format popularized by the likes of Creed, Nickelback and Disturbed. Formed in 1996, Saliva has five recordings, the latest being 'Blood Stained, Love Story.' Drowning Pool gained widespread popularity following the release of 'Bodies,' its first single.
