In this new biography, author Ben Rose explores the life of New Hampshire General John Stark and his participation in the American Revolution. Staunchly independent and deeply suspicious of authority, Stark was a maverick who led the New England militia in unconventional combat during the Battle of Bunker Hill and the Battle of Bennington. A securities analyst by profession, Ben Rose is a graduate of George Washington University, and holds an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the New Hampshire Historical Society and Massachusetts Historical Society. John Stark: Maverick General is his first book. You can also read more about Ben Z. SPARK, the new book by John J. Ratey, is a groundbreaking exploration of the connection between exercise and the brain's performance that shows how even moderate exercise will supercharge mental circuits to beat stress, sharpen thinking, enhance memory, and much more. SPARK will change forever the way you think about your morning run or, for that matter, simply the way you think. Dr. John J. Ratey, M.D., is an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He'll sit down with Mel Robbins for our Advice for Living series and talk about his book.
