Dinosaur Jr. reunites for this brief series of shows, featuring original members J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph. All of the band's previous records have been reissued, in time for a new generation to enjoy. You can hear echoes of their sound every time a post-grunge band slugs out a chunky riff or when a jam band noodles its way to guitar nirvana. Dinosaur Jr was the perfect vehicle for singer/guitarist J. Mascis' unwieldy, gut-bucket guitar leanings, fusing them with singer-songwriter melodies and obfuscating lyrics that have become the hallmarks of grunge rock.

Bob Schneider is a fixture on the Austin scene, having kicked around for years in various bands before embarking on a solo career in 1999. Schneider's musical approach as a solo artist has proven as eclectic as the diverse musical styles of his former bands -- a little bit singer/songwriter, a whole lot of bits and pieces of funk, country, rock, and folk. His scruffy good looks and strong, husky voice provide a good complement to his semi-confessional songwriting. His music is redolent of singer/songwriters of the '70s from Neil Young to Paul Simon, with a slightly more modern musical sensibility reminiscent of Beck. Schneider has a knack for creating pleasant adult alternative music with edgy lyrics about alienation, drug addiction, and lost romance. ~ Mary Grady, All Music Guide

Colin Hay's wit and warmth that defined the now-classic Men at Work albums is now reaching an audience that may be too young to remember cassette tapes or the electric slide. Hay’s “I Just Don’t Think I'll Ever Get Over You,” became a memorable hit from the success of the Garden State soundtrack, garnering extensive praise from all corners and all ages. “This is without a doubt my favorite song of the year,” John Mayer wrote in Esquire Magazine. “I'm still trying for a tune like this of my own.” As frontman and principal songwriter for eighties hit machine Men at Work, Hay is responsible for one of the most identifiable sounds in pop music: infectious, Caribbean-spiked blue-eyed soul with a pointedly quizzical lyrical outlook. Classic songs like “Down Under,” “Overkill,” and “Who Can It Be Now” unfold before the ears like miniature movies, with timeless twists and a bittersweet sense of humor.
