The University of Colorado at Boulder will host a panel of experts who will participate in a public discussion on global warming and related issues on Thursday, Feb. 7. Panelists include population expert and CU-Boulder physics Professor Emeritus Al Bartlett, National Center for Atmospheric Research scientist Jeff Kiehl, CU-Boulder anthropology Professor Paul Shankman, CU-Boulder energy expert and physics Professor Jamie Nagle and Michael Brownlee of Boulder Valley Localization, a group advocating community self-sufficiency. Kiehl has been involved in recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports. Sponsored by CU's University Libraries, the free, public event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Norlin Library's Center for British and Irish Studies, located on the fifth floor. The event is the first of four related panel discussions to be held this spring at Norlin.
