AN EXCITING EVENT IS COMING TO SANTA ROSA A fine Dinner, lots of Dancing, Live and Silent Auctions AND your chance to help the children in need in our local area. We Lions and Lioness get many, many requests from local charitable organizations asking for our help to support them because they have no way to get funds from other sources. Some of the many organizations that we were able to assist from last years fundraiser were: Earle Baum Center for the Blind---Hanna Boys Center---Canine Companions---Lions Eye Foundation---City of Hope---Sonoma Blind Babies Fdtn.---Autistic Children Assoc.---Lions Wilderness Camp for the Deaf---Southwest Eye Clinic---Lioness "Teddy Bear" project---Lioness "Kases for Kids" and many other local charities. Here is how you can help. On Saturday, September 22, 2007 our Lions and Lioness clubs are having a "Help The Children" Dinner, Dance and Auction at the Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club. This event will start at 6:PM with dinner scheduled for 7:PM. It is our hope to have a total of 200 guests attend this dinner. The tickets are now on sale at $50.00 per person and the dinner menu will include a choice of "Roast Sirloin of Beef with Lyonnaise potatoes & sauce Bordelaise", "Chicken Breast stuffed with prosciutto & provolone served with mascarpone polenta", or "Chef's Choice Vegetarian". It is our goal to provide all attendees with a funfilled, enjoyable "night out" as well as a chance to help many children in our local area. So why not invite some friends and come out and join us! Be sure to order your tickets early to assure your place at this event. Please keep in mind that we Lions and Lioness are all volunteers that give freely of our time and energy. 100% of the net amount raised will be used to support our Lion and Lioness charity projects.
