The N Crowd wants you to share a laugh at the Actors Center. They perform improv entirely dependent on suggestions provided by the audience. Cerulean Arts is pleased to present DRAWING NEAR: Tamar Miller, Kathranne Knight, Joshua Marsh, and Sarah Steinwachs. This group exhibition brings together works on paper by four artists from across the country with a shared sensibility for intimate process and close observation. The opening reception is Friday, February 29 from 5-9pm. Joshua Marsh and Sarah Steinwachs will be available to discuss and answer questions about the exhibition on Sunday, March 16 from 1-4pm, with an Artists’ Talk at 2pm. The exhibition continues through April 11.

A Silver Mt. Zion, also know as Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra-La-La Band, is a post-rock band formed in 1999 by Godspeed You! Black Emperor musicians Efrim Menuck, Sophie Trudeau and Thierry Amar. Unlike Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion's music often features vocals. Singer/songwriter Vic Chesnutt deals in emotionally charged, intelligent folk rock. A paraplegic who was injured in a car accident when he was 18, the contemporary acoustic folk of the Athens, GA, native has gained him the admiration of such artists as Michael Stipe, Hootie & the Blowfish and Widespread Panic.

A new year, 2006, marks the return of Vancouver's Dan Bejar with his seventh full-length release under the moniker Destroyer. If there has been any precedent set or pattern developed over the previous six recordings in the Destroyer canon, it's that Bejar holds little regard for convention or expectations.
