Restaurant GM Justin Kraemer and Executive Chef Laurent Chosset have partnered with the Castello Banfi winery to promote the cuisine and wines of the Tuscany region of Italy. To kick off this partnership, a reception and dinner paired with the wines of Castello Banfi will be held in the in the restaurant on June 28, 2007 starting at 6:30PM. Chef Chosset’s menu for the reception and dinner will include the zesty and summery eggplant and roasted garlic pizzetta, an open-faced herb ravioli with wild mushroom sauce, and the grigliata mista, a traditional Tuscan mixed grill of marinated lamb, Italian sausage and Pinzimini’s signature bistecca alla fiorentina. Each of the reception items and six dinner courses will be paired with a signature wine from Castello Banfi. The cost per person is $75, and door prizes from Castello Banfi will be awarded during the dinner. On hand for the dinner will be a guest speaker from Castello Banfi, Vittorio Vettori, Fine Wine Manager, to explain the wines’ nuances in detail during the reception and dinner. Following the dinner, Pinzimini will unveil a new wine flight from Castello Banfi during the evening Unwind ritual, as well as special pricing on food, Italian beers and signature cocktails, weekdays from 5:30 to 7:30PM.
