In recent years, Robert Ballard—the underwater archaeologist who discovered the wreck of the Titanic—has been exploring the Black Sea. While Ballard’s research doesn’t attempt to prove the story of Noah’s Ark, it delves into the events that may have given rise to the nearly universal tale of a great flood. Join the world-renowned explorer for a visual presentation about the Black Sea, where he has uncovered some of the most preserved ancient history on Earth. A book signing will follow the program. $18 General $15 Skirball Members $10 Full-Time Students ADVANCE TICKETS: Available on site at the Skirball Admissions Desk, online at www.skirball.org, or by phone at (800) 595-4TIX.

The Audacity was formed in April of 2004 when singer/songwriter/guitarist Naoki Sonoda met drummer Shawn Rios at a party. They had a nice conversation about The Smiths and Elvis Costello, and exchanged numbers. In May of that year bassist Brian Goodheart (of now defunct band Artless) volunteered his services, and has yet to stop volunteering his services. So there you have it: The Audacity, a band that delivers mystery, clever song craft, and hope within all of its minor key compositions.
