True to the dance theatre genre, olive Dance Theatre's original works use the vernacular of breakin' in a narrative structure to tell us a story, explore an emotion or journey to places both familiar and foreign. Experience the work of this groundbreaking hip hop dance company through both ensemble pieces and spectacular solos. This project is partially supported by a grant from the Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour, a program developed and funded by the Heinz Endowments; the William Penn Foundation; the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency; and The Pew Charitable Trust; and administered by Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. This project is made possible in part by a grant from the National Performance Network’s Performance Residency Program.
