MiPOesias presents EVIE SHOCKLEY is the author of two poetry collections: a half-red sea (2006) and The Gorgon Goddess (2001), both with Carolina Wren Press. Her work appears as well in numerous journals and anthologies. Originally created in 2003 by Danielle Distefano and Matt Greenhalgh to showcase New York’s young, up-and-coming tattoo artists, Upstarts has grown to include tattooists from around the globe. This year’s show coincides with the New York City Tattoo Convention, giving artists the opportunity to exhibit their latest ideas to an audience of fellow tattoo artists.
