The first Friday of May is always No Pants Day, and this year it falls on May 4th. No Pants Day is a day where everyone, be they students, respectable businessmen, or cherished community leaders, leave their pants behind. Usually this means wearing thick, appropriately modest boxer shorts, but bloomers, slips, briefs, and boxer-briefs all work as well. This year's No Pants Day celebrations are happening all over the globe. Here are the events local to Austin, TX: At 8:00AM, a group will gather in front of the steps of the Capitol Buidling to protest pants. From 10:30AM to 5PM there will be general festivities on the West Mall of the UT campus. At 8PM there will be a big old No Pants Day party/show at the Coldtowne Theater, featuring music, improv, and Mini Britney Spears.
