Eiteljorg Museum hosts 15th annual Indian Market Market boasts art from 50 Native cultures, Oneida hip hop performer, dancers, food, more ( Indianapolis )—Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art will host its yearly celebration of Native American cultures—Indian Market. More than 150 Native artists will travel from across the country to display and sell their work at one of the largest Indian Markets in the Midwest . In addition to art, the event, held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Military Park , features food, family craft activities and a variety of unique performers, including: Buggin Malone ( Oneida ), hip hop artist Allegheny River Dancers (Iroquois) Phillip Whiteman, Jr. ( Northern Cheyenne ), storyteller and musician Joseph FireCrow ( Northern Cheyenne ), traditional and contemporary music and dance Actor Michael Horse (Pascua Yaqui / Zuni Mescalero Apache), “ Twin Peaks ” and “Passenger 57,” emcee “There is really something for everybody at Indian Market,” says Jaq Nigg, festivals manager, Eiteljorg Museum . “For serious collectors, we have authentic works by popular Native artists.
