Chicago's Rise Against features former members of the late great 88 Fingers Louie. This four-piece punk unit plays a punchy brand of melodic hardcore heavily influenced by bands like Bad Religion, Minor Threat and Bad Brains. This band is a potent mix of youth crew style, metal edge, melodic energy and hardcore pride. Their message, though stated a thousand times before, comes off as neither cheesy nor insincere. Silverstein was formed in early 2000 in Ontario, Canada and acquired it's name after the famous children's author by the same name. The band thrived to tear down the boundaries between hardcore, emo and punk and with the addition of guitarist Neil Boshart, after founding guitarist Richard McWalter left the band, a myriad of new influences and ideas came in which is believed to have solidified and enhanced the band's developing trademark sound.

Sounding like a revamped Jackson 5 for the '90s, Hanson came storming out of Tulsa, OK, in 1997 blessed with photogenic looks and a surprisingly infectious sense of melody. Now, they're less a novelty act and more a true, bluesy rock band. This tour supports their current album, 'The Walk.'

The music of Frank Zappa is both complex and influential, melding every conceivable aspect of rock and pop into a personal style. Since his passing in 1993, many fans figured they'd never hear any of the iconic rocker's selections performed live on stage again. But Zappa's two sons, singer Ahmet and guitarist Dweezil, are presenting what they call "the first official authorized presentation of Frank Zappa music by the Zappa Estate." With a rotating setlist and guest performers, the brothers hope to give due justice to their late father's musical legacy.

Chicago's Disturbed came together through the matching of a band with a singer. Long-time friends Dan Donegan Mike Wengren and Fuzz played together for some time before hooking up with singer David Draiman around 1997. Together, the group's thrashing sound built up a following on Chicago's South Side, leading to a record deal and the release of their debut album, 'The Sickness,' in 2000. The band gained more exposure playing at the 2001 Ozzfest, and it snowballed from there. Their latest is 'Ten Thousand Fists.' Five Finger Death Punch is a fast technical riffage contrasted by arena ready epic pieces that invoke the spirit of the glory days of metal.
