Forrofiando plays and sings forro, Brazil's wildest and most danceable music. The sweaty forro is indigenous to the Northeastern area of the country. Driven by cranked up accordions and overpumped drums, forro was popularized by the late, colorfully costumed Luiz Gonzaga. The style was often looked down on by snobs as the music of taxi drivers and maids, but is now a favorite of Brazil's college crowds.
