The history of an old water tower, a cast iron tallow pot, and an adobe horno will also be featured during your exploration. Afterward, take a docent-led tour of the adobe house, browse through the Museum Gift Shop and purchase jam made from the Rancho's organic fruit trees.

Crush in the City at the Queen Mary in Long Beach

Wine enthusiasts from all over Southern California are following the grapevine to the Queen Mary in Long Beach for Crush in the City, August 11 & 12. Guests can expect a wine-filled weekend complete with learning, experimenting, discovering, and most important, sampling! Special celebrity guest, Ted Allen, of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," will be aboard to share his expertise on wine, food, and entertaining as he serves his favorite dishes and unveils what tickles his taste buds. Featuring over 100 vineyards pouring hundreds of various wines, Crush in the City includes educational seminars providing the secrets to picking out the best wines, cooking demos from Robert Mondavi Private Selection, a variety of wine makers, sampling, live jazz, celebrity sightings, and so much more. Event hours are Saturday, August 11: 1:00pm - 9:00pm, and Sunday, August 12: 1:00pm - 7:00pm. Ted Allen, acclaimed author, TV host, Robert Mondavi spokesman, and food and wine expert, will be aboard the Queen for the event on Saturday, August 11. Allen has earned his claim to fame as the cooking and entertaining coach for the hit series "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy."
