The sweet smell of success is already familiar to California-based ALO. Now, the rapturous quartet is ready to bring it’s joyful musical message to a larger audience worldwide. Roses & Clover is the anticipated follow-up to the band’s acclaimed 2006 Brushfire release, Fly Between Falls. Bursting with sun-drenched melodies, ALO’s latest covers a wide range of musical territory; from the reggae-tinged “Try” to the Ukulele-led funk workout “Plastic Bubble.” Over the past two years, ALO have greatly expanded their fan base via constant touring and phenomenal word-of-mouth. Even Dave Matthews took notice of the funky foursome last year—asking the band to open up for DMB for several shows, including a special cruise ship concert. In addition, ALO toured Europe for the first time in 2006 with labelmate Jack Johnson.

Breaking Free From Emotional Overeating Using EFT: A Remarkable Tool for Releasing Negative Emotions The Problem: Yo-Yo Dieting Dieting and weight-loss programs have low success rates. They tend to focus on what food to eat and/or use "behavioral" approaches to dieting that just depend on will-power. This either works poorly or results in yo-yo cycles of weight loss and gain. Unless the underlying emotional causes of overeating are addressed, weight loss and maintenance will always be a struggle. The Key Difference: Eliminate Cravings and Compulsive Overeating What makes this workshop uniquely successful is the use of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a remarkable tool for releasing negative emotions. EFT works like "emotional acupressure" to quickly, gently and easily relieve food cravings and address the true emotional causes of our urge to overeat. Once the cravings and underlying emotions have been addressed, weight loss and maintenance is no longer a struggle. Weight-Loss Program Features: * Eliminate food cravings * Identify and clear the underlying emotions causing overeating * Release limiting beliefs and stop self-sabotage * Heal our relationship to food and transform unwanted eating patterns * Receive support in a safe, confidential environment Testimonials for EFT Dr. Mercola has used EFT with thousands of patients in his renowned Optimal Wellness Center. He wrote regarding applying EFT to help patients lose weight: "We have used EFT for several years now with astounding results... It is the most universally effective approach I've ever found to handle the emotions that can block weight loss." Workshop Information Date/Time: Sunday, May 6, 2007 * 10am - 6pm Location: Clarion Hotel * Northampton Room * Northampton, MA Cost: $118 ($98 if payment received by April 28th). Note: There is a pre-requisite for taking this workshop. Please see the web site for details. Workshop Registration: http://www.eft-alive.com

With his crystal-clear singing voice and vibrant, classically-inspired playing, Jose Gonzalez is one of today's most remarkable artists - testament to the irrefutable power of one man and a guitar. His debut album 'Veneer' captured his magical sound in its purest state, simply beautiful and beautifully simple. He has since toured the US extensively, selling out shows in every major market. While sonically similar to Veneer, Jose's recent release 'In Our Nature' shows Gonzalez' growth as a songwriter. Displaying a heightened emphasis on melody and strong, focused lyrics - the album is a dark combination of softness and anger that is at once mesmerizing, intimate and hauntingly epic.

Jeff Bujak generates heavily organized piano progressions, twists and winds them amid constantly evolving poly-rhythmic electronic beats and constructs a sound that is not only unique, but extremely fresh to the underground music scene. Bujak is a solo performer that uses computers, keyboards, effects, samplers and vocals to create a progressive-piano groove. He creates a sound that unites keyboard influences of Peter Gabriel, Album Leaf and Bruce Hornsby with the hard driving rhythms of Prodigy and DJ Shadow. It's an ethereal blend of many diverse colors and tonalities. Bujaks music conjures up images of grand piano sidemen of the past, yet looks into the future, harnessing technology to work for the music. - Josh Taylor, State of Mind Magazine Taking complex musical melodies and rhythms, he makes it all seem very simple with an honest and seemingly fathomless talent for composition and improvisation. - Dave Terpeny, Kynd Music By mixing fully-original, pre-sequenced percussion loops and intricately layering track upon track of live keyboard and piano-bass progressions, Jeff Bujak produces a distinctive and novel new look at live music production. With the many types of jazz, ambient and classical piano textures throughout each song, his music falls into too many categories to be left in just one. Call it progressive-piano. Listen to it like no other music. Jeff Bujak is a natural musician/composer in every sense of the word. Part genius, part spiritualist - he takes the listener by the ears and sets off on a sonic peregrination of soul, rock, jazz, classical and contemporary flavors. - Ty Marshal, Rarely Done ProductionsEvent submitted by Eventful.com on behalf of lizardflag.
