Ayn Rand's magnum opus Atlas Shrugged turns 50 years old this month! To commemorate the publishing of the book that took place during October 12, 1957, we will listen to a taped lecture titled "The World of Atlas Shrugged". This lecture is written and produced by The Objectivist Center, is narrated by Edward Herrmann and Lynn Redgrave and will last approximately 1 1/2 hours. "The World of Atlas Shrugged" provides essential context, brilliant commentary and authoritative insight into the novel's literary purpose and structure. NOTE: Please be aware that I promised the manager of the restaurant that everyone would buy something to eat in order for our group to use their banquet room for our meetings. His deal is: "each person buys something to eat or the group pays a $10 charge."
