This fall, well-known landscape artist Charles White will teach the techniques of landscape painting. . “Plein Aire” painters work on location to quickly capture the changing light that occurs in nature, giving the artwork the reality that cannot be achieved any other way. The look gives the viewer the feeling and sense of being right there with the artist — right there in the scene. Enrollment is limited to a small number of participants who will spend part of each day painting under the artist’s guidance. Day trips take participants to classic vistas of villages, hamlets, hillsides, and seascapes. Participants will have the choice of staying in a historic Tuscan home or at nearby hotels for 9 days/8 nights. Participants will paint in the countryside and hill towns of Tuscany near Sienna, Lucca, Florence, Pisa and Santa Ana. There will also be time for sightseeing, shopping, beachcombing, and naps. The workshop fee of $2580 (double occupancy) covers lodging, transportation to workshops and sites, all breakfasts, five dinners and 8 -10 1/2 day plein aire workshops. Space is Limited. To reserve your space contact us now. Spouses or guests sharing a room and not taking the painting workshop are welcome and will have a list of sites and activities in the area. Public transportation is available daily to Florence, Pisa, and other Tuscan locales or spend time walking on the beach, two miles from the villa, shopping at the large mercato in Viareggio or Lucca or enjoying local sites. Among the youngest bands ever to storm the metal genre, Death Angel has come to be known as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the thriving Bay Area Thrash Metal Scene in the early 1980s. God Forbid has its roots in the humble setting of a New Jersey basement. The music of Arsis is the product of strong classic metal and rock influences such as Racer X, Iron Maiden, Dio, Black Sabbath, and Alice Cooper, combined with the aggressive, in-your-face influences of bands such as Morbid Angel and Death. Soilent Green is a melding of metal, hardcore and sludge.
