Free No tickets or reservations required. Written by Preston Sturges, directed by Mitchell Leisen. A beautiful fur coat drops from the sky, landing on the shoulders of a secretary (Jean Arthur at her most charming), beginning a crazy chain of events as rumors fly that she is the mistress of a Wall Street millionaire (Edward Arnold), and suddenly all New York is at her feet. One of the great screwball comedies of the 1930s, Easy Living also stars Ray Milland. Panel discussion will follow.

On November 30th, 2007, the I'm Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation (i[2]y) will celebrate the launch of it's inaugural west coast chapter with a Stupid Cancer Happy Hour–their signature event–at The Derby (4500 Los Feliz Blvd.) in Los Angeles. This occasion is a gathering for survivors under 40, their friends and family, and people who like live music and free booze. With an open bar from 8-9pm, i[2]y musicians will perform acoustic sets from 8pm till midnight in support of this organization, as featured on Lifetime Television’s Side Order Of Life. Tickets are $15 or $10 with a flier. Musicians performing include acclaimed singer/songwriters Michael Tiernan, Kyler England, Eliot Popkin, Denise Vasquez and Mara, all of whom are members of i[2]y's Art Of Survivorship Coalition, a grass-roots community of young adult recording artists who have been directly affected by a diagnosis of cancer, either their own or that of a loved one. The evening's festivities also serve as an after-party for the Hollywood FAME Awards (November 28th) where i[2]y founder Matthew Zachary will be honored with the 2007 Humanitarian Of The Year Award in recognition of i[2]y's benefit CD. This namesake album–I'm Too Young For This!–features 21 original tracks licensed from The Art Of Survivorship Coalition including songs from the artists performing at the happy hour. Other notable contributions to the album include Grammy-nominated musicians Kevin Hearn (Barenaked Ladies), Cindy Bullens and legendary new age pianist Suzanne Ciani. "I wanted to create something radically different than other cancer benefit CDs," says Zachary, a 12-year young adult survivor of pediatric brain cancer. "Instead of simply slapping a pink ribbon on an existing compilation of songs by random pop artists, this project has deeper meaning and purpose as a practical educational tool that not only raises awareness for our mission but fulfills it simultaneously." Under the helm of Chair Sarah Sharaf, the i[2]y L.A. chapter is beginning active recruitment for volunteers to help contribute their time and talent to the foundation's advocacy on behalf of survivors under 40. Interested parties can contact Sarah at sarah@imtooyoungforthis.org. About i[2]y: Ranked as one of TIME Magazine’s 50 Best Websites 2007, i[2]y is a global support community for young adults affected by cancer who get busy living and rock on. i[2]y’s mission is to end isolation and improve the quality of life of young adult cancer survivors, their families and caregivers by providing 'one-stop' access to hard-to-find resources, peer support and social networks. i[2]y uses music and the arts to make it hip to be a survivor and talk openly about “stupid cancer." We advocate on behalf of the 1 million+ adolescent and young adult survivors (ages 15-39) who are living with and beyond cancer worldwide. For more information, please visit ImTooYoungForThis.org.
