Equally fluent on clarinet, saxophone, and flutes, Ehrlich has been hailed as "one of the most formidable multi- instrumentalists since Eric Dolphy...the jazz dream musician" (The Village Voice). The New York Times calls him "one of the premier melodicists of his generation," and The Nation "one of his time's most original thinkers (with) a rare and wonderful talent, a now yearning, now biting attack and a stunningly voice like expressiveness." MOCA is delighted to welcome Marty Ehrlich for a very special performance.

A jam band much in the same vein as Blues Traveler, moe. plays funk-rock mixed with jazz and blues. While keeping in the tradition of musical acts such as Old and in the Way, John Hartford, and New Grass Revival, Chicago's Cornmeal has continued to push the boundaries of traditional bluegrass music for more than five years. Known for their solid musicianship, rich vocal harmonies, Cornmeal has proven to be a moving presence in the world of Americana roots music.

X were the quintessential Los Angeles punk rockers before they grew into a world-class rock and roll band and live band. However, enthusiasm for their unique, intelligent and humorous work never quite reached critical mass. The Detroit Cobras are a garage-rock revival band formed in 1995 by guitarist Steve Shaw. Shaw recruited fellow Detroiters Maribel Restrepo on guitar, Jeff Meyer on bass and Damian Lang on drums to fill out the instrumental lineup, with ex-butcher and exotic dancer Rachel Nagy handling the vocals.
