"The Lives of Others"

Set in 1984 East Berlin five years before the fall of the Berlin wall, the story explores the ways in which a party loyalist’s point of view changes as the result of his surveillance of and immersion into the lives of a playwright and his actress girlfriend. The film uses authentic locations and events that gives the story an air of poignancy and the lead actors give terrific performances in this tightly wound human drama.

The California punk trio Tiger Army came together in early 1996, opening for AFI and earning respect from other players and fans including Rancid frontman and Hellcat Records co-founder Tim Armstrong.
