Keith Carpenter explores how composers and other musical thinkers (philosophers and theorists mostly) have sought inspiration and models from both scientific and supernatural aspects fo the heavens. In addition to the lecture, Carl Storniolo will perform a solo percussion piece, 'Tierkries,' composed by Karlheinz Stockhausen. Storniolo will also perform the world premiere of a piece composed by Keith Carpenter.
