A rock n' roll background, deep fried with an admiration for American roots music proves a tasty recipe on Sarah Borges' debut, 'Silver City' Her work has just enough spice to make you sit up straight and enough heartfelt emotion to make you think hard about why it is that you're wiping your eyes at its conclusion. Constantly looking for authentic, heartfelt sounds, Borges digests the sounds around her and then delivers them anew in her own distinctive and unique style, full of country power and alt rock.

This is part one of a two part production that can be seen either individually or as an extraordinary two-part whole. In a New York turned upside down by the chaotic energy of the 1980’s and destructive terror of AIDS, this Pulitzer Prize winning play follows the story of two disintegrating relationships, one gay, the other straight. Morality is overturned, fantasies are made flesh and a man becomes a prophet in this powerfully emotional epic. *Adult content, strong political themes, not recommended for children under 18. Tickets Available: 919-831-6058 or www.theatreinthepark.com Adults: $21; Seniors (60+): $15; Students/Active Military: $13

Emerging in 1993 from the Staten Island, NY, the Wu-Tang Clan proved to be the most revolutionary rap group in the mid '90s. Collectively, Ghostface, GZA/Genius, INspectah Deck, Masta Killa, Method Man, the late Ol' Dirty Bastard, Raekwon, Cappadonna, Mathematics, RZA and U-God have either recorded, produced, or have been involved in some of the most successful tracks in rap. Despite personal difficulties, the surviving members of the group reformed in tribute to the late ODB, releasing a best-of collection, 'Legend of the Wu-Tang,' in early 2006. The group is out to support their latest studio album, '8 Diagrams.'
