We Are Wolves

Where: Knitting Factory

Date: 2007-12-13 20:00:00

Type:

We Are Wolves Around 2000, Alexander Ortiz and Vincent Levesque, both from the visual art world along with fellow Antonin Marquis formed a band with synths, bass, vocals and drums. In their own words the band likes to qualify their sound as “a post-punk landscape with analogue trees. Like rock after the postmodern explosion”. Nameless until 2002, it’s when Alexander showed up at the jam space with an home made shirt with a skull spiting a synth with the inscription We Are Wolves on it that they decided to name the band. The Wolves were born. ADV $8 // DOS $10 ShopText and Save! Text WAW5 to 467467 for tix Buy tix online at Ticketweb

The Loved Ones, The Gaslight Anthem, The Ergs

Where: Knitting Factory

Date: 2008-02-22 17:30:00

Type:

The Loved Ones The Loved Ones emerged in 2003 as the brainchild of singer/guitarist Dave Hause, bassist Michael "Spider" Cotterman and drummer Mike Sneeringer. The threesome were longtime friends and are ex-members of fellow Philadelphia legends Kid Dynamite, The Curse and Paint It Black. And while the band is definitely a departure from the individuals’ past endeavors, the punk sensibilities and organic approach to playing still remain paramount. The Gaslight Anthem The Gaslight Anthem carries on a punk rock tradition of no frills, good times, wear it on your sleeve and playing every show like it's your last. Their mixture of punk rock sing-along's, story telling and unique soulfulness has been bursting out of its seams since 2005. The Ergs The Ergs pay homage to punk rock greats the Ramones by infusing their sound with speed, pop punk power and a mighty smirk . Like all good New Jersey punk bands, their music is fast, loud and catchy. ADV $10 // DOS $10 ShopText and Save! Text LOVED5 to 467467 for tix Buy tix online at Ticketweb
