The Doobie Brothers are pioneers of the California rock 'n' roll sound of the '70s. Formed in Oakland, the band evolved from a mellow, post-hippie boogie band to a slick, soul-inflected pop band by the end of the decade. Along the way, they racked up a string of gold and platinum albums, along with a number of radio hits like 'Listen to the Music,' 'Black Water' and 'China Grove.'

One of the most successful folk/pop duos in recording history, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have carved out an enduring career that is due largely to the fierce loyalty of their fans. After over two decades and eight studio albums together, Ray and Saliers, known to their legion of fans as Indigo Girls, have played thousands of shows. They've operated within the music industry, without ever being a product of that industry, gaining the respect of their peers, not to mention an extremely loyal fan base. Regardless of which way the pop culture breezes are blowing, who is topping the pop charts, who is dominating fashion magazine covers, or who is getting played on the radio, an Indigo Girls' concert experience remains a constant.

Chicago's Rise Against features former members of the late great 88 Fingers Louie. This four-piece punk unit plays a punchy brand of melodic hardcore heavily influenced by bands like Bad Religion, Minor Threat and Bad Brains. This band is a potent mix of youth crew style, metal edge, melodic energy and hardcore pride. Their message, though stated a thousand times before, comes off as neither cheesy nor insincere. Silverstein was formed in early 2000 in Ontario, Canada and acquired it's name after the famous children's author by the same name. The band thrived to tear down the boundaries between hardcore, emo and punk and with the addition of guitarist Neil Boshart, after founding guitarist Richard McWalter left the band, a myriad of new influences and ideas came in which is believed to have solidified and enhanced the band's developing trademark sound.
