Wednesdays @ The Phoenix Landing = Don't Sleep July 11th !!! http://www.dontsleepworlwide.com / http://www.basebookings.com for more info Matthew Craig Coming years saw Matthew writing and producing dance tracks with longtime friend, Jeff Sasakura. The duo started collaborating not only as DJs, but working in the studio together creating an updated blend of Detroit Techno & the London Tech-House sound. They started recording together under the CURIO moniker in 2001. In April of 2002, CURIO opened up for Bryan Zentz at the Gothic Theater in Denver and sent him home with an unsigned copy of our first worthy track, entitled "Sway". A couple weeks later he contacted them about producing a remix. After shopping the tracks a bit, Tim Baker called and signed the tracks to be released on his own Elephanthaus Records of Chicago in June of 2005. Remixes were produced by Bryan, D'Wachman & HD Substance, and Tim Baker himself. "Sway" got early support from lots of globetrotting Techno DJs and so the journey began! To date Matthew has been fortunate enough to have held residencies and performed guest spots at some of the finest venues and clubnights in the country with gigs at Denver's own Loft, VINYL, The Church, Shelter, The Gothic Theater, Moscow Underground, and HUSH, as well nationally renowned venues like MAZE [Miami], Nocturnal [Miami], and RISE Afterhours [Boston]. Matthew is now 27 years old and currently attends the Berklee College of Music in Boston, pursuing a Masters certificate in Music Business & Technology. He also assists with A&R and Promotions for Don't Sleep Worldwide LLC, a newly formed production company devoted to showcasing cutting-edge House & Techno artists. He even finds time to work as a Facilitator of Sales and Account Management for MAX 3 (a revolution in digital distribution). Once in a while, you can find Matthew performing as a DJ in a dark nightclub or local warehouse... With several international radio shows confirmed and booking requests rolling in from all over the world, 2007 looks to be a very promising year for this devoted Tech-House DJ.
