May NMITSA Membership Meeting Featuring Author and Blogger Marc Orchant NMITSA is excited to announce the information for our May Membership meeting! This month, our speaker will be Marc Orchant, Chief Evangelist at Foldera and ZDNet blogger. Marc will talk about blogging as a business tool for outbound communications with customers, prospects, and partners and for internal communications and knowledge management. Marc has been a pro blogger since 2003, first with Weblogs, Inc. (sold in 2005 to AOL) and most recently as the author of the Office Evolution blog ( http://blogs.zdnet.com/orchant) at ZDNet. He is also the author of the recently published Unofficial Guide to Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (Wiley) and a NMITSA board member and co-chair of the Workforce Education Alliance. The lunch presentation will take place at the Downtown Flying Star restaurant on 7th and Silver from 11:30am until 1:00pm on Thursday, May 31st. Master Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser is a consummate performer. His richly expressive playing transports listeners across a broad musical spectrum, ranging from haunting laments from the Gaelic tradition to classically-styled airs, raucous dance tunes, and improvisations based on traditional themes. His vast repertoire spans several centuries of Scottish music and includes his own compositions, which blend a profound understanding of the Scottish tradition with cutting-edge musical explorations.
