Hawthorne Heights is a "post-hardcore" rock band from Dayton, Ohio. Amber Pacific is a pop punk band that was started in 2002 as a trio of high school juniors who performed locally in their Seattle hometown just for kicks. Now, they continue to write songs about loss, love and friendship...but from a more grounded, yet still youthful, perspective. The Secret Handshake is the musical project of Luis Dubuc. This self-taught musician writes everything for this band in his room - alone with just his Wurlitzer piano and Apple computer. With one listen you can tell this band stands out from other emo tinged electronic music - The Secret Handshake's got heart and soul. This Las Vegas quintet plays rock, punk, hardcore and emo. AKA's features former members of Brother's Keeper.

ZooLights Wednesdays–Sundays, November 28–December 30 6 to 8:30 p.m. This holiday season, FONZ will hold its biggest and brightest event ever—ZooLights, powered by Pepco. Beginning November 28, the Zoo will shine with thousands of environmentally friendly lights and animated exhibits for 25 nights. These larger-than-life displays will feature many of the Zoo’s most popular animals, all constructed of LED lights that use about 90 percent less energy than traditional incandescent light bulbs. ZooLights will also offer visitors the chance to make fun, winter-themed crafts and bird feeders, roast marshmallows, sample other tasty treats like hot chocolate, cookies, and cider, meet keepers in some of our exhibits, and learn about the Zoo's enrichment efforts. But that’s not all. Ice sculpting demonstrations, choral groups, and storytellers will also abound at ZooLights. You can also sponsor a light display or special area of the Zoo. Award-winning trumpeter and composer David Buchbinder teams up with JUNO-winning pianist and composer Hilario Durán and a crew of Canada’s top jazz and world musicians to present this exciting Jewish-Cuban fusion. Odessa/Havana is a high-powered collision of two great musical styles predated but not predicted by the Jewish-fuelled, American Mambo craze of the 1950s. Working from the roots of each tradition and finding many areas of sonic commonality, Buchbinder and Durán have crafted a sound that is unique and compelling, challenging listeners' comfortable genre preconceptions.
