Sephardic Music Festival The New York Sephardic Music Festival seeks to increase interest in and awareness of the Sephardic culture, including Mizrahi, Yemenite and Ladino traditions, highlighting the diversity within the Sephardic branch of Jewish culture and history. The latest Sephardic musical talents in the U. S. will be showcased, working to reinvigorate the thriving Sephardic culture that exists and is waiting to be re-discovered. The goal is to give people the opportunity to learn and enjoy this rich, sensual tradition that has the power to make hips shake and souls soar. Heedoosh Heedoosh performs deeply personal, spiritual Jewish rock music that pulls no punches. The songs are of breathtaking beauty and complexity, rooted in sacred text and combined with contemporary verses gilded with a true rock edge influenced by Stone Temple Pilots, Radiohead, Coldplay and Oasis - a mix of hard rock and brit-pop with Hebrew lyrics and Jewish themes. Y-Love With each word he spits in the tongue of ancient Babylon, Y-Love breathes new life into hip-hop, one beat at a time. At the 2006 Jewish Music Awards, Y-Love took home the award for "Best Hip Hop Artist." Through his unique style and music, Y-Love shows incredible talents in bringing races and religions together with the power of Hip Hop and his own personal positivity.
