More and more people around the country are creating gardens to attract birds, butterflies and other wildlife. These natural habitat gardens use plants native to the region and can create a thriving natural ecosystem, reducing the need for fertilizers, pesticides, watering and maintenance. Not only are these gardens attractive to wildlife, they provide an interesting, healthy environment for people. In this new course, participants will learn the principles needed to create an oasis for birds and butterflies as well as a personal retreat in an increasingly urbanized world.
