Jazz Revelation Records presents the 3rd Annual Kendall Square Concert Series, and is collaborating for the first time with the Institute of Contemporary Art to present Harborwalk Sounds: Berklee at the ICA. Both series offer FREE live music on Thursdays throughout the summer (complete schedule of dates and times below). Artists include Berklee student and alumni jazz, world, Latin, and r&b musicians, some of whom are featured on the new Jazz Revelation Records CD The New Old School, including Jake Hertzog, MUNDuO, Mateo Lugo, Zili Misik, Daniel Ori, Alex Terrier, and Juan Ospina. Jazz Revelation Records (JRR), Berklee's student-run jazz record label, was formed in the spring of 2003. The label is made possible by a grant funded by the college. Under previous management, Jazz Revelation Records successfully released the compilation CDs Rebirth, Two, and Ars Nova. Under the direction of current president Michael Borgida, the label has just released its fourth album, The New Old School. For the new CD, JRR gathered eight young, passionate, and committed artists from around the world, all speaking the traditional language of jazz in a new way. The Kendall Square Concert Series take place at 300 Athenaeum St., Kendall Square, Cambridge, every Thursday, noon to 2:00 p.m., June 7 – September 13. The Kendall Square Concert Series is sponsored by BioMed Realty Trust, Watermark Residences, and ConstellationCenter. For more information, please call (617) 577-7354. The quartet will also be facilitating Berklee clinics and scholarship auditions in Tel Aviv. While fusing South American rhythms and jazz influences, Witek’s group the KMQuartet discovers a fresh and multicultural sound.

WEDNESDAY - NOVEMBER 14th @ The Phoenix Landing GEOFF WHITE http://www.spectralsound.com http://www.apnearecords.com/ As one of America's premier techno producers, Geoff White has amassed a catalogue of distinguished releases on labels such as Force Inc., Traum, Proptronix, Morris Audio, Cytrax and his own Edit Audio, most recently making the move to Ghostly International (where he explores guitar textures under his Aeroc moniker) and Spectral Sound (where he creates jacking dance tracks with live instruments under his birth name). A native of Columbus, OH, White recently relocated to Barcelona to continue his work in music. His first full-length album, Questions and Comments, was released on Force Inc. in 2001. The formation of the Edit Audio label followed shortly thereafter, with an emphasis on modern production techniques as well as dancefloor beats. In 2003, Geoff paired with Stewart Walker to produce the album Discord, released music under the alias Jackstone, and made an EP with Swiss duo Dialogue. White has also provided remixes for a variety of labels such as Leaf and Source. White now turns to Spectral for a series of micro-house EPs, which began with the icy Ince (2004) and continued with Etsche (2005). Now with new material on Spectral's DEATH IS NOTHING TO FEAR SERIES & Spainish imprint APNEA things are looking good and and sounding better ! "Scillecta"
