Blogger's Delight is a free party every Monday at the Knitting Factory. Each party, a new blog curates the night and invites bands and DJs they love to play. Get ready to get psyched! For this edition, NYC and Berlin based electronic/dance music blog La Decadanse will be curating with a special, New York debut performance by Numero#, DJ sets from SPORTS and blog contributors/resident Modular Monthly DJs Jess Jubilee & Mary Ann. NUMERO# Myspace French singer/songwriter Jérôme Rocipon and electronic producer Pierre Crube are the duo behind Montreal-based Numéro#. Their clever juxtaposition of confectionery electro pop with a humorous dose of self-reflexivity have caused a stir on the dancefloor while garnering their debut LP, "L'idéologie Des Stars", the title of Best Electronic Album of 2007 from the ADISQ. Numéro# have shared the stage with day-glo, electro rap phenomenons TTC (Institubes) and Saboteur label mates Omnikrom in addition to appearing on the fourth installment of the often buzzed about Kitsuné Maison Compilation series. ( ladecadanse.blogspot.com) SPORTS DJ Set Video SPORTS is the DJ trifecta with Nick Hook of indie-tronica supergroup Men Women and Children, DJ Glue of Cardboard City, of the left field Def Jux-ish hip hop underground, and Daryl Palumbo, singer in Glassjaw, HeadAutomatica, and guitarist of United Nations. Together, the three musicians form voltron as unsuspecting dancefloor pros. Through the mashed-mixes of off-brand hip hop circa '89, to indie-rock, to wobbly-bottom end remixes from UK stars Sinden & Switch, these three bring together the core element of all genres, the beat… in tune and on time.
