Blue Turtle Seduction is the freshest band to have emerged from the south shore of Lake Tahoe. These five musicians are quickly gaining notoriety for their incredibly original blend of classical, mountain reggae, bluegrass, world music, hip-hop and funk. The band's music has been referred to as "jamgrass exotica." The Ritual takes on an electric, searing out, tearing it up with its wild, soulful mixture of funk and electronica.

The Detroit Cobras are a garage-rock revival band formed in 1995 by guitarist Steve Shaw. Shaw recruited fellow Detroiters Maribel Restrepo on guitar, Jeff Meyer on bass and Damian Lang on drums to fill out the instrumental lineup, with ex-butcher and exotic dancer Rachel Nagy handling the vocals. Inspired by '70s and early-'80s punk as well as '60s garage rock, blues-rock and soul, the Anaheim, CA, garage punk trio the Willowz draw from influences roughly twice as old as they are. The group formed in 2002, when singer/guitarist Richie James Follin, bassist/vocalist Jessica Reynoza and drummer Alex Willow were all in their late teens. Dan Sartain plays alternative punk, garage rock, punk and indie rock.

Their unpredictable live show has turned them into the most notorious band on the road-- three singers singing lead on almost every song, flying blood, group kissing, sudden nudity, fireworks explosions, and pissing into their mouths and onto the audience are just some of the tricks up their sleeve.

Featuring works by Gregg Kowalsky, David Kwan, Chika and I8U, and Sawako, LISTEN/VISION 02 is part of a unique series presenting *unreleased* audiovisual compositions. These exclusive pieces -- specifically commissioned from an international pool of contemporary artists -- are not available anywhere on CD, DVD or on the Internet. Featured Artists: GREGG KOWALSKY – “Rosebud for Red Magus” – 2006 – 18:17 min. Gregg Kowalsky resides in Oakland, California where he completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Electronic Music and Recording Media at Mills College. Kowalsky’s compositions range from drone and noise pieces to the psychedelic, which are highly influenced by the thick, humid air of South Florida where Gregg lived for most of his life. He is interested in filling the spaces his music occupies through dense, live mixes. He has composed for film, dance, acoustic ensembles and sound installations. Gregg’s debut full-length album "Through The Cardial Window" was released on the Kranky label in Spring 2006. http://ossobucco.net DAVID KWAN - SOLARIS - 2006 - 10:07 min. I8U is a sound artist based in Montreal, Canada. Her work reveals powerful, opaque and complex sound environments where analog and digital meet. http://www.imagima.com SAWAKO – “untitled” – 2006 – 15:18 min. Sawako is a Tokyo/NYC-based sound sculptor who understands the value of dynamics and the power of silence. She culls sounds from everyday life -- field recordings, instruments, vocal and electronic sounds -- and sets them floating in a digital space imbued with organic textures. Her unique sonic world has been called “post romantic sound” by Boston’s Weekly Dig. http://www.12k.com/sawako.html About Overlap.org: Blending the lines between a record label, event production company and social network, Overlap.org is a lens into a diverse network of independent artists.
