The Richmond Left Libertarian Alliance is a loose association of libertarians, greens, activists, liberals, anarchists, georgists, mutualists, agorists, and other malcontents who meet to drink and talk. The goal is for left-leaning types and libertarian types to find common ground on local issues. Eventually, we'd like to facilitate a culture of cooperation and mutual aid within Richmond aligned against the largely conservative establishment by promoting community-oriented alternatives to bureaucracy and big business. Please email admin at left libertarian period org with suggestions for a meeting location, which will be announced no later than July 17 (Commercial Tap House will be the default if there is no better ideas). Jeremy Weiland will be giving a presentation on local issues of interest to left libertarians.

Stemming from the diabolic metal scene of Rochester, New York -- the birthplace of such exaggerated sounds as Kalibas, Sulaco and Lethargy -- comes the mathcore extremists known as PsyOpus. This project's conception was formed during the fall of 2002 by the unorthodox guitar work of Christopher "Arpmandude" Arp, Rochester's regional winner of 2001s Limp Bizkit Guitarist Search and the technical absurdness of grind drummer Greg Herman. Finalizing the line up with bass player virtuoso Fred DeCoste and the "in your face" antics of vocalist Adam Frapolli, PsyOpus have become an intrinsic formula for sonically unyielding violence and insanity.
