Mike Coykendall and his wife, Jill, founded the San Francisco band “Old Joe Clarkes” in 1994 and have released three albums with that group. Since relocating to Portland, Mike has also been producing & engineering records for various groups including M Ward, Richmond Fontaine, Beth Orton and Trio. Recently back from a European tour supporting Richmond Fontaine, Mike has just released his debut solo CD, “Hello, Hello, Hello.” Darren Hanlon grew up in a place described in tourist brochures as: "the town that saved Queensland.” The grandiose statement refers to the discovery of gold in Gympie in 1867. Fleeing Queensland after high school to Music College in Lismore, his eyes were opened wider. The town was a hotbed for original music and creative energy. Hanlon’s favorite band was university art-pop combo, “Playground. ” He slowly got to know them by loaning them his guitar leads and was soon asked to join as guitarist, was fired on grounds of being "too country" and then joined again in time to record their first EP under a new name “The Simpletons.” He toured Australia for the first time - with the group, and during this time accumulated a small but growing rucksack of tunes that he started performing on low-key early weeknights in venues around Sydney. He recorded his first solo album, “Little Chills,” in 2004. His eagerly anticipated new album, “Fingertips and Mountaintops,” is now out in stores. It was recorded mainly in a silent movie theatre in Queensland with the wonderful Bree van Reyk on drums. Carcrashlander is the project of Portland songwriter Cory Gray. Cory Gray also plays with Norfolk and Western, Laura Gibson, Desert City Soundtrack, Nate Ashley, David Singer, and Darren Hanlon

Dead Rock West has just been confirmed on a national summer tour kicking off on June 15th in Portland, Oregon with indie rock god John Doe. The band will be performing double duty, opening the set as Dead Rock West in support of their new, critically acclaimed debut album Honey and Salt, as well as sitting in with Doe as his back up band. The tour will continue across the US in a 35-city tour ending in mid August 2007. Dead Rock West's sound has been described as "the jagged edge of country rock that brought such acclaim to Los Angeles legends X in the '80s," by the Houston Chronicle. Campus Circle calls it the "true evocative sound where John Doe and Exene Cervenka from X meet Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris." What better way to compliment these comparisons than for Dead Rock West to team up with the renowned X front man! Dead Rock West's debut album Honey and Salt is a seamless mix of high-powered punk rock, the perfectly pitched harmonies of Americana, grainy guitar solos, thoughtful lyrics, and blends of energetic pop. Dead Rock West is - lead singer Cindy Wasserman, lead guitarist/vocalist Frank Lee Drennen, bass player David J. Carpenter (Grant Lee Phillips, John Doe), drummer Bryan Head (The Plimsouls, Abandoned Pools) and multi-instrumentalist Phil Parlapiano (Social Distortion, Lucinda Williams).
