With a cast of nine plus a 22-piece band, the show is written as a patchwork of vignettes criss-crossing Sousa's life as a master bandleader/composer/ arranger/author/speaker, and features some of the most beloved music ever written...tunes which are still being played and played again, and which remain in the repertoire of concert bands worldwide: Semper Fidelis; Washington Post; El Capitan; Liberty Bell; U.S. Field Artlillery: and, of course, the official march of the United States, Stars and Stripes Forever. Join Doug Cameron and his band of 12 other musicians in a evening at the Rabobank Theater Doug Cameron is one of the true innovators of the contemporary and electric violin. With eight CDs to his credit, Cameron has long been a favorite on jazz radio internationally. An arranger and composer as well, Doug's CDs feature many of his own compositions, a number of which will be performed this evening. Doug (along with 12 other musicians) wows audiences worldwide with his high energy concerts. A veteran of the Los Angeles studio Scene, Doug has recorded and performed with a wide range of artists, including George Benson, Doc Severinsen, Tom Petty, Cher, The Allman Brothers, Dionne Warwick and many others as well as numerous motion pictures and commercials. Currently recording for the Higher Octave Label (distributed by Virgin), Doug keeps busy with his recording schedule which includes an album every year or so. He lives and records in Los Angeles, where he has a full recording studio in his home and also enjoys having the talent of many of LA's top studio musicians and recording artists at his disposal. Many jazz luminaries appear as special guests on Dougs Various CDs, including David Benoit, Lee Ritenour, Boney James, Gerald Albright, Joe Sample, Russ Freeman from The Rippingtons and Russ Ferrante from The Yellowjackets.

Subscription Concert #6 - Times and Places The orchestra closes its season with a lavish selection of music evoking moods and scenes.
