Les Sans Culottes has a vintage sound -- rich, tube amped tones, silly-sounding organs that deserve to support an episode of The Monkees and vocal harmonies that might bring an ironic tear to the eye if in the proper setting. The way the songs tend to break into a barrage of snare hits and sassy organ solos is impressive. The Cuban Cowboys play a mixture of Cuban surf punk rock with melodies similar to that of the Mambo Kings or the Pixies.
