The work continually evolves as it tours the country, since PEARSONWIDRIG DANCETHEATER invites both New Orleans evacuees and people who may or may not yet have a connection with the city to participate in workshops, video portraits or as members of the performing cast. Katrina, Katrina: Love Letters to New Orleans offers a transformative experience that is healing in the deepest sense. As a new kind of community is forged in workshops and performances rich in humor, honesty and compassion, a new way of creating and being together comes into existence, one which can touch the deepest places of grief and love. This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
