Detroit natives David Weiss (David Was) and Don Fagenson (Don Was), formed Was (Not Was) in 1980. The group features vocals by former O'Jays singer Harry Bowens and Sweet Pea Atkinson among others. Their hits include 'Spy in the House of Love' and 'Walk the Dinosaur.' A new two CD compilation of the group is set for release on Shout! Factory. Todd Snider's songs are often rich in wit, often hilarious, delivering clear critiques of society. Some are intimate ballads and some are good-natured romps celebrating life.
