This is the spring Music convention . At the show you will find the largest selection of music in the city at prices much lower that stores. You can find Cd's, Lp's, Dvd's and posters. You can also bring in your old music and video to sell or trade. The show is open from 10 to 4, and admission is only $3.00. This is the longest running show of its type in the US. The remaining dates for this years shows are: June 10th, August 19th, October 14th and December 9th.

Advanced Photography Workshop with Peter Brown

In this course for experienced photographers who wish to grow creatively, award-winning photographer Peter Brown will provide a basic critique of participants’ work and suggest directions for it. Participants will select a topic for assignment, bring their work to class, and listen and respond as the work is considered by the instructor and the class. Many past participants in this enjoyable, open and supportive class have had their work shown in galleries and published in magazines and books. Each session will include discussions on contemporary photography. Technical help will be provided, and all types of photography are acceptable, including film or digital, black and white or color, and slides or prints. Prospective participants must obtain instructor approval to register for this course. If you have not taken Peter Brown's class before, you must submit a portfolio of at least 12 photos, a short statement outlining your experience in photography, and a brief description of at least one project you would like to work on during the course. You may put these items on a CD or print them out. Please drop off your materials at the Continuing Studies office. Eight Thursdays between September 20 and December 13, 2007, 6:30-9:00 p.m. Registration and fee information available on GSCS Web site.

Zebrahead is a CA-based punk-rap outfit made up of vocalist/guitarist Justin Mauriello, guitarist Greg Bergdorf, bassist Ben Osmundson and drummer Ed Udhus and rapper Ali Tabatabaee. Authority Zero is a band that doesn't give a lot of thought to product placement. Just ask AZ guitarist Bill Marcks. 'A lot of bands would ask us, 'Where you gonna put your disc in the record store-is it gonna be punk or reggae or ska?' And that's not what we're about.' Tokyo Rose is a four-piece emotional pop/rock group from New Jersey. The group includes vocalist/guitarist Ryan Dominguez, bassist Chris Poulsen, guitarist Greg Doran and drummer Jon Smith. Patent Pending is a punk rock band.
