Foghat specialized in a simple, hard-rocking blues-rock, releasing a series of best-selling albums in the mid-'70s. While the group never deviated from their basic boogie, they retained a large audience until 1978, selling out concerts across America and earning five gold albums, as well as two platinum. 'Slow Ride,' taken from 'Fool for the City,' was their biggest single, peaking at number 20. 'Foghat Live' was their biggest album, selling over two million copies.

Atlanta rockers Cartel gained significant promotional boosts from Yahoo!, MySpace, AOL, AbsolutePunk.net and PureVolume.net, leading to their successful single 'Honestly,' which in turn earned them more exposure via their music video on MTVU and Fuse. They also made the lineup on the 2006 VANS Warped Tour. No wonder Alternative Press called Cartel "a band you need to know." Quietdrive is all about pop hooks, raw rock thrills, open-hearted melodies, faith, hope and love. Against a musical backdrop that draws as much from Elton John and Nirvana as from Zeppelin and Matthew Sweet, Quietdrive tackles politics of the heart, sifting through the wreckage of old relationships and holding out hope for the one that got away. The Boston-area band Boys Like Girls has been able to develop a devout following by focusing on making lasting connections with its fans. "I like to listen to music that makes me feel a certain way--either it reminds me of something important that happened or a certain time in my life," says Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson. "If kids are feeling that way about our songs, I couldn't ask for anything more." Cobra Starship features Johnny Depp, Dave Grohl, Ron Jeremy and Mayor McCheese.
