The unadorned, geometric forms, abstracted shapes, and bold colors of Modernist art and design are unmistakable, seen in everything from teacups to skyscrapers, from paintings to living room fixtures and furniture. This exhibition explores how the movement developed, what principles defined it, and some of the themes that characterized it, including Utopia, the machine and mass production, nature and the healthy body and national identities.

Scott Lucas and Joe Daniels began playing together in high school in Illinois. Additional members never worked out, so Local H is a two-piece band that plays feedback indie rock with three recordings. Death By Sexy is a raw rock 'n' roll duo based out of Washington, DC. Formed from the ashes of DC rock stalwarts The Shakedowns, Death By Sexy has been slaying audiences with their brand of relentless, righteous rock music since early 2005.
