The Toxic Terror Tour Featuring Twiztid from Psychopathic Records. Protégés of the Insane Clown Posse, the Detroit-area rap duo Twiztid based their act on a similarly theatrical, outrageous, makeup-heavy image and an obsession with serial-killer horror films. Jamie Madrox and the Monoxide Child cast themselves as psychotic axe murderers on their 1998 debut album, Mostasteless, which was reissued with new artwork and extra tracks a year later in the wake of ICP's rise to national notoriety. Twiztid's second album, Freek Show, was released on Halloween 2000 in conjunction with ICP's Bizzar/Bizaar sets; Mirror Mirror followed two years later. The Green Book hit the shelves in 2003 with Man's Myth, Vol. 1 landing in 2005. The duo toured extensively throughout the States in the early 2000s, developing a small cult following throughout the Midwest in particular. Voxtrot combine classic '60s pop with the heady, subversive sounds of '80s Britain. "This band exists to talk about the things you go through when you confront the big stuff like love, regret, fear," says Ken Griffin, the singer and principle songwriter of Favourite Sons. Au Revoir Simone is a three-piece indie/pop/electro band from Brooklyn, New York.

Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennet, Pierre de Reeder and Jason Boesel are Rilo Kiley. Formed in 1998, the Los Angeles band offers up a healthy dose of thoughtful, electrically enhanced rock and pop ditties. With their 2001 release 'Take Offs and Landings,' the band found themselves opening for the Breeders, Pedro the Lion, and Superchunk. Rilo Kiley's follow-up, 'The Execution of All Things' earned many a critic's writeup in the fall of 2002. 'More Adventurous' arrived in 2004, with the quartet's current effort 'Under the Blacklight,' due later in 2008.
