Wells, Analog to Amazing Stories, and Forbidden Planet to Star Wars science fiction has entertained generations of readers and viewers. To commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars in May, the Library is creating its own Sci-Fi saga. Make it your mission to discover your local Library for a line-up of exciting programs and exhibits that are out of this world. For the younger explorer, there's everything from making alien slime to flying paper spaceships to participating in video gaming nights and watching Sci-Fi flicks. For the seasoned explorer, there are visits with Sci-Fi writers, book discussions, movie marathons, and more. You can even learn to speak Klingon through language workshops. Whether it's a first encounter or the continuation of a voyage, let the Library transport you to worlds limited only by your imagination. GalaxyCon Celebration, May 5 at the Main Library Generations of fans have embarked on intergalactic journeys through imaginative novels, action-packed television series, and blockbuster films. Now there's a chance for Sci-Fi fans of all ages to come together and have fun with Earthlings who have similar interests.
