Named after the '70s classic Tropicalia song by Gilberto Gil and Os Mutantes, this group continues the Brazilian tradition of bringing together samba, samba-reggae, baiao, forro, samba-funk, maracatu and ijexa. The Ruby Doe is a rock band from Seattle, Washington, and this band is currently signed to local label, Loveless Records. Releases include: 'The Flame and the Fury,' 'Dream Engine Blue,' (Hometown Tragedy Records) and 'Always With Wings' (Loveless). The Doe are mostly known in the Northwest for their impeccable live shows.
