The Subdudes came together in New Orleans back in 1997 for what they thought would be a one-night gig. They enjoyed each other's company so much that they formed the Subdudes. Their rootsy sound is mostly acoustic, with a strong emphasis on songwriting & vocal harmonies. Five albums & roughly a decade later, they split to pursue other avenues in 1996. After a few spinoff projects & a couple reunion gigs, three of the four original members came back together in 2002.

Topic: Succulent Gardens While your garden may reside in containers, one thing you will never have to “contain” is your creativity. Bob covers all aspects of successful container gardens. He will discuss design principles and share some of his favorite plants and designs for creating containers. Bob’s presentations are always a “standing room only” event. After a distinguished career with the United States Forest Service, Bob joined SFG where he excelled as a HCG sales representative. He is now the Senior Container Garden Designer for SFG. He also hosts his own radio show, is an accomplished gourmet cook and an expert on culinary herbs. Workshops are from 5-7 pm and will be held at Santa Fe Greenhouses. Participants may bring up to one container to work with, but many outstanding container designs will be available on site. Delivery of large containers can be arranged. Information: 473-2700, ext. 3075.

'Moby Dick Rehearsed' is Orson Welles' stage adaptation of the classic novel by Herman Melville. Welles drew a parallel between King Lear and Captain Ahad and set the action around a troupe of actors that abandons rehearsal of 'King Lear' to re-create another, unforgiving, vengeance-obsessed character of the same emotional stripe - Captain Ahab.
